The Rev. Peter (Pete) Moore-Kochlacs was appointed to be our Pastor July 1, 2008. Recently he served at Chapel of the Valley U.M.C. in El Cajon where he and his wife the Rev. Dr. Emma Moore-Kochlacs live. Pete attended U.C.L.A. receiving a B.A. in Psychology and a Minor in Economics. In 2001 Pastor received a certificate in Environmental Studies from S.D.S.U. He also has a certificate in Christian Spiritual Formation from the Upper Room Ministries in Nashville, Tennessee. Pete received his Master’s of Divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. 

Some of you might know his wife Rev. Dr. Emma Moore-Kochlacs who currently serves as Senior Pastor at La Jolla U.M.C. and was previously the District Superintendent of the San Diego District. They have a daughter Caroline who currently works at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Their Son Matthew and wife Sarah recently have a grandson-Dylan. Pete works on Creation Care public policy issues, reads Sci-fi and mystery/spy books and occasional his bicycle and does family history research.
